Axon Health Now Offering US Manufactured, EUA Approved Rapid Diagnostic Tests for the Detection of SARS-CoV-2 IgM/IgG Antibodies

What is COVID-19?

COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The virus, which can cause mild to severe respiratory illness, was first identified in Wuhan, China, and has now spread globally, including the United States. The current information available to characterize the spectrum of clinical illness associated with COVID-19 suggests that symptoms include cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell.

Axon Health is proud to offer an immunochromatographic lateral flow assay intended for the qualitative detection and differentiation of Immunoglobulin M (IgM) and Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in human serum, plasma (sodium citrate, sodium heparin, or dipotassium EDTA), and venous whole blood (sodium citrate, sodium heparin, or dipotassium EDTA). This test is intended for use as an aid in identifying individuals with an adaptive immune response to SARS-CoV-2, indicating recent or prior infection. At this time, it is unknown for how long antibodies persist following infection and if the presence of antibodies confers protective immunity. In general, Rapid Antibody Tests should not be used to diagnose acute SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Test Features

  • EUA Authorized and Made In America

  • Excellent Clinical Performance: 98.44% sensitivity and 98.9% specificity

  • FNLCR/National Cancer Institute (NCI) validation: 100% sensitivity and 97.5% specificity

  • Detect and differentiate IgM/IgG antibody specific to SARS-CoV-2

  • Require small sample volume (10 uL of venous whole blood, serum, or plasma)

  • Obtain results only in 10 minutes

  • No special equipment or training required

  • Identify and monitor individual’s previous infection history and immune response to COVID-19

PCR / Molecular Testing (COVID-19 ONLY & Full Respiratory Pathogen Panel) 24 - 48 HR TAT

Respiratory Pathogen Panel

Respiratory Pathogen Panel ( R.P.P. ) is a qualitative test intended for simultaneous detection and identification of nucleic acids from multiple respiratory viruses (including COVID-19) and bacteria extracted from nasopharyngeal swabs collected from individuals with clinical signs and symptoms of a respiratory tract infection.

Respiratory pathogens cause acute local and systemic disease of varying severity, with the most severe cases occurring in children, the elderly and immunocompromised patients.  Axon Health offers our partners In-House RPP that identifies the following viral and bacterial pathogens:

Viral Pathogens

Adenovirus

Coroavirus HKU1

Coroavirus NL63

Coronavirus 229E

Coronavirus OC43

Human Bocavirus

Human Metapneumovirus

Influenza A

Influenza A H1

Influenza A H3

Influenza B

Parainfluenza Virus 1

Parainfluenza Virus 2

Parainfluenza Virus 3
